E-Clips are open-profile retaining rings designed for radial installation into a machined shaft groove. The E-shaped profile engages the groove at multiple contact points and forms a retaining shoulder against the mounted component, preventing axial movement without requiring the ring to be installed over the end of the shaft. This installation method is particularly useful where access to the shaft end is restricted.
